Our History

As the Founder of this website and in my 60s but with an interest and knowledge of popular music throughout my life, I am disappointed by the current style of song and lack of great musical content and melody contained in songs that have reached the charts in recent years. There are performers who are exceptions.

Examples are Ed Sheeran, Adele, Florence and The Machine and others. However, it is widely expressed that the creativity of talented composers is thwarted by many musical publishing companies who only want to release what they consider will sell in large volume and frequently alter an original composition’s style to suit their view of how best to achieve this objective.
